QTerminals, a Qatar-based company, has won the concession tender in the port of Olvia.
UAH 3.4 billion will be invested in the port development over 5 years. It is one of the largest foreign direct investments in the Ukrainian port industry in the history of independence. The annual concession fees amount to UAH 82 million, which is 16 times higher than the profit of the port in the year of 2019. The concessionaire will invest UAH 80 million into the development of the infrastructure of the city of Mykolayiv, which will contribute to the sustainable development of the local community and the operations area.
QTerminals is the leading port operator of the State of Qatar being responsible for managing sea ports and transport terminals across the country. The company operates the largest trade port in the country – the one of Hamad, which is one of the dominant and modern offshore logistics complexes in the Middle East.
