Notwithstanding the worldwide complications of logistical processes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the process of transferring Ukrainian sea ports to the concession is ongoing.
“The concession remains the key way for modernization and further development of Ukrainian sea ports and beyond. The concession agreements will be signed, preparations are ongoing, ” – the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii said.
On April 29, 2020, the second meeting of the Working Group on Harmonization of the Concession Agreement on the Project in the Port of Olvia took place in the online format. The agreement stipulates that UAH 3.4 billion to be invested in the development of the port of Olvia.
The Ministry of Infrastructure has insisted on the revision of the decision of the Sixth Court of Appeal of Kyiv to suspend the order approving the results of the concession tender in the Kherson port and its winner. “The court granted and canceled the measures to secure the claim. However, in order to finally lift all restrictions, negotiate and enter into an agreement, a decision of the Supreme Court of Ukraine is required. For our part, we make every effort to support and protect our every investor and every concession, ”- added Vladyslav Kryklii.
